Fuck Yeah Narwhals! RSS

Here we celebrate the narwhal (Monodon monoceros), a medium-sized toothed whale that lives year-round in the Arctic. One of two species of whale in the Monodontidae family, along with the Beluga whale, the narwhal males are distinguished by a characteristic long, straight tusk extending from their upper jaw.

Also, they are awesome.

daisymay: Kendra brought up Narwhals at lunch today and the fact they actually fight with their horns - like they’re fencers! So here is a little gif (side note: I HATE gifs and cant seem to make them work well… Actually, it is possible that it has taken longer for me to try and get this gif working than actually getting the animation done.)
